Osho Dynamic Meditation
Discover the amazing power of this Meditation.
The Indian mystic Osho observed already in the early ’70s that Westerners had too much internal turmoil to benefit from sitting meditations.
He therefore developed “active” meditation, a combination of physically active parts that discharges suppressed physical and psychological stress, with quiet, inactive parts that leads into the silence.Osho Dynamic meditation is considered one of Osho’s most demanding but also most liberating active meditation. It consists of five phases, with the first three are physically acting out with chaotic breathing, emotional Dispense and movement, and the last two are quiet observation and celebratory dance. The whole meditation lasts an hour and is done with closed eyes, so here is your chance to free yourself from old constraints without having to pay attention to what others think of you.Osho is a contemporary mystic who has been transforming the life of millions of people through his unique meditation techniques as well as through his talks which have been transcribed and are already available as books throughout the world in more than 50 languages.
He speaks not to provide information or entertainment — though it can be both informative and entertaining — but rather to provide an opportunity to experience the state of relaxed alertness that lies at the core of meditation, he designed different meditation techniques for people living in the modern world to be able to experience this state more easily and fully. Each OSHO Active Meditation is a combination of different stages and can include a variety of techniques – breath, sound, movement, dance, emotional release, etc. – combined with a stage of silent stillness. Many OSHO Active Meditations are very physically and emotionally engaging, while others are soft and passive.MEDITATIONS FOR MODERN MAN”

Why Active Meditation Techniques?
Modern man is a very new phenomenon. No traditional method can be used exactly as it exists because modern man never existed before. So, in a way, all traditional methods have become irrelevant.
For example, the body has changed so much. It is so drugged that no traditional method can be helpful. The whole atmosphere is artificial now: the air, the water, society, living conditions. Nothing is natural. You are born in artificiality; you develop in it. So traditional methods will prove harmful today. They will have to be changed according to the modern situation.
Traditional methods have an appeal because they are so ancient and so many people have achieved through them in the past. They may have become irrelevant to us, but they were not irrelevant to Buddha, Mahavira, Patanjali or Krishna. They were meaningful, helpful. The old methods may be meaningless now, but because Buddha achieved through them they have an appeal. The traditionalist feels: “If Buddha achieved through these methods, why can’t I?”
But we are in an altogether different situation now. The whole atmosphere, the whole thought-sphere, has changed. Every method is organic to a particular situation, to a particular mind, to a particular man. The fact that the old methods don’t work doesn’t mean that no method is useful. It only means that the methods themselves must change. As I see the situation, modern man has changed so much that he needs new methods, new techniques.
Meditation is our essential nature. If we want to know ourselves deeply and to live consciously, we need to be rooted in this space of pure awareness. Meditation is an experience, not a technique, but techniques can support us to experience meditation.
Active Meditations are scientifically designed to help you get out of your mind and into experiencing life itself. Every meditation session and workshop is an opportunity to explore and expand your self-awareness. Anger, sadness, joy, laughter, sexual energy, love, silence and celebration are all part of the journey. Throw off your tension, open a playful heart and drop into the silent silent witness.
This series introduces to the basic theory and practicalities of mindfulness. It provides a community of support for participants to share insight and process the experience. A commitment to a daily personal practice is necessary to build longer‐term stability, resiliency and self‐awareness.

Exploring Active Meditation
Osho Dynamic Meditation
Discover the amazing power of this Meditation.
One thing has to be remembered about meditation; it is a long journey and there is no shortcut. Anyone who says there is a shortcut is befouling you.
It is a long journey because the change is very deep and is achieved after many lives – many lives of routine habits, thinking, desiring. And the mind structure; that you have to drop through meditation. In fact it is almost impossible – but it happens.
A man becoming a meditator is the greatest responsibility in the world. It is not easy. It cannot be instant. So from the beginning never start expecting too much and then you will never be frustrated. You will always be happy because things will grow very slowly. Meditation is not a seasonal flower which within six weeks is there. It is a very very big tree. It needs time to spread its roots.

Understanding meditation
Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. Meditation originally was meant to help deepen understanding of the sacred and mystical forces of life. These days, meditation is commonly used for relaxation and stress reduction.
Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. Meditation produces a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process results in enhanced physical and emotional well-being.
Benefits of meditation
Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits both your emotional well-being and your overall health. And these benefits don’t end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly through your day and can even improve certain medical conditions.
Meditation and emotional well-being
When you meditate, you clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress. The emotional benefits of meditation include:
Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
Building skills to manage your stress
Increasing self-awareness
Focusing on the present
Reducing negative emotions
Meditation and illness
Meditation also might be useful if you have a medical condition, especially one that may be worsened by stress. While a growing body of scientific research supports the health benefits of meditation, some researchers believe it’s not yet possible to draw conclusions about the possible benefits of meditation. With that in mind, some research suggests that meditation may help such conditions as:
Allergies
Anxiety disorders
Asthma
Binge eating
Cancer
Depression
Fatigue
Heart disease
High blood pressure
Pain
Sleep problems
Substance abuse
Meditation isn’t a replacement for traditional medical treatment. But it may be a useful addition to your other treatment.

Why Active Meditation Techniques?
Many meditative techniques require one to sit still and silent. But for most of us accumulated stress in our body-mind makes that difficult. Before we can hope to access our inner powerhouse of consciousness, we need to let go of our tensions.
Osho active meditation have been scientifically designed by Osho for the contemporaryDynamic Meditation Technique is one of most recommended and popular meditation technique of Osho.
Lot of negative clutter and repressed emotions are released in this meditation technique, thus making it a powerful tool for cleaning as well as self healing.
Dynamic Meditation is expression. In expressing yourself, in cathartic all that has been repressed in your unconscious, you will be unburdened, you will become saner, healthier.
You are depressed so much because you have not been allowed to express yourself. To be a sufferer of depression simply means you have repressed too much. Depression is nothing but repress express yourself, don’t repress yourself”—a recent study showed that releasing your anger can lead to a healthier, longer life.
The researchers looked at more than 6,000 patients, and found that those who internalized their anger had elevated pulses—a condition that could lead to high blood pressure, and in turn raise the risk of heart disease, cancer, kidney damage and many more life-threatening issues, according to a report on the study in Medical Daily.
Everybody who has been brought up in our societies needs some methods to vomit anger, sex, greed, jealousies, envies. You are sitting on a volcano… and the volcano can erupt at any moment! If catharsis is allowed — and that’s what Dynamic Meditation is all about — the volcano will disappear. You will become saner. You will have more insight into life, more joy in your lives, more freedom in your lives.
Hi there!
Just a bit of information regarding the meditation, We’ll be doing Dynamic this time, which is one of Osho’s most famous and radical meditations. It’s powerful, transformative, and both very active and very still. Since there’s a lot of movement, I recommend you come with comfy loose clothes, and a fairly empty stomach. It’s also suggested to use a blindfold or small scarf to help keep the eyes closed.
Since space is limited, it would be great to know if you and any friends are coming, but feel free to just show up if you want to.And please come on time so we have enough time to present the meditation. Once we start, the doors will remain closed.Osho Dynamic Meditation
Dynamic Meditation lasts one hour and is in five stages. It is an individual experience so you should remain oblivious of others around you and keep your eyes closed throughout, preferably using a blind fold. It is best to have an empty stomach.
“This is a meditation in which you have to be continuously alert, conscious, aware, whatsoever you do. Remain a witness. Don’t get lost. While you are breathing you can forget. You can become one with the breathing so much that you can forget the witness. But then you miss the point.
“Breathe as fast as possible, as deep as possible; bring your total energy to it but still remain a witness. Observe what is happening as if you are just a spectator, as if the whole thing is happening to somebody else, as if the whole thing is happening in the body and the consciousness is just centered and looking.
“This witnessing has to be carried in all the three steps. And when everything stops, and in the fourth step you have become completely inactive, frozen, then this alertness will come to it.

Meditation starts with catharsis and ends with celebration. When your diseases are thrown, you can dance and laugh, you can feel blissful. Only in this blissful state will there be a meeting, a meeting with the universe. That meeting is divine.
“This witnessing has to be carried in all the three steps. And when everything stops, and in the fourth step you have become completely inactive, frozen, then this alertness will come to its peak.” Osho
First Stage: 10 minutes
Breathe chaotically through the nose, concentrating always on exhalation. The body will take care of the inhalation. The breath should move deeply into the lungs. Be as fast as you can in your breathing, making sure the breathing stays deep. Do this as fast and as hard as you possibly can – and then a little harder, until you literally become the breathing. Use your natural body movements to help you to build up your energy. Feel it building up, but don’t let go during the first stage.Second Stage: 10 minutes
Explode! Express everything that needs to be thrown out. Go totally mad. Scream, shout, cry, jump, shake, dance, sing, laugh; throw yourself around. Hold nothing back; keep your whole body moving. A little acting often helps to get you started. Never allow your mind to interfere with what is happening. Be total, be whole earthed.Third Stage: 10 minutes
With raised arms, jump up and down shouting the mantra, “Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!” as deeply as possible. Each time you land, on the flats of your feet, let the sound hammer deep into the sex center. Give all you have; exhaust yourself totally.Fourth Stage: 15 minutes
Stop! Freeze wherever you are, in whatever position you find yourself. Don’t arrange the body in any way. A cough, a movement – anything will dissipate the energy flow and the effort will be lost. Be a witness to everything that is happening to you.Fifth Stage: 15 minutes
Celebrate through dance, expressing your gratitude towards the whole. Carry your happiness with you throughout the dayIf you have any physical limitation please contact us
The first phase of Dynamic Meditation is the awakening to a new life. “Wake up, man!” it seems to be shouting at us. “Come out of your ancient sleep, step out of the maze of your dreams, be they sweet or nightmarish. Stop letting yourself be trapped by these dreams, drop your limitations and live! Breathe! Breathe and live!
Open yourself for the breath of life; take in as much of it as you can possibly take! Stop philosophizing about life, stop losing yourself in the dreams of others, stop dreaming of Day X, when you will really, start living! Do it yourself, do it now! LIVE.”
Deep, fast breathing dissolves the cemented patterns of our psyche, makes everything move and tingle, and charges the body with oxygen and life energy, blowing apart our psychosomatic structure, the order that was created by the circumstances of our birth and our background conditioning. We are coming closer to life in is original wildness, unpredictability, power.
We lost our innocence long ago, and we want to find it again. And we willFind it again if we want to enjoy, to really celebrate life and not go on dragging on alone.
Osho Dynamic Meditation is a shock therapy. All meditation techniques are tricks, attempts to put the mind to sleep without consciousness falling asleep with it… to allow a glimpse of no-mind, the dimension beyond the mind.
Whether or not a technique works is a question of who uses it. But the people for whom the ancient techniques were developed are no more. We live in a totally different world today.
Osho Dynamic Meditation is a method for modern man as he is: neurotic, speedy, confused. It helps to bring all the mess of the modern mind to a boil so that it can evaporate. With these methods, thanks to the ingenuity and genius of Osho who invented them, a new path to meditation has been created through the jungle of today’s mind, which is thicker and more tangled than ever before in the evolution of man.
If where you meditate prevents you from making a noise, you can do this silent alternative: Rather than throwing out the sounds, let the catharsis in the second stage take place entirely through bodily movements. In the third stage, the sound “Hoo” can be hammered silently inside. As Osho explains:
“Don’t try to be passive because effort belongs to activity. Nobody can try to be passive. Then what to do? – be totally active, and then passivity comes. It follows like a shadow, it has to come. Think perfectly and then no-thinking comes. You cannot drop thinking. Nothing can be dropped which is incomplete, only the perfect can be dropped. In fact, the perfect drops itself automatically.
“Be active. The activity itself creates the situation in which passivity happens. If you have been active the whole day, totally active whatsoever you were doing – digging a hole in the garden or working in a factory or in a shop or teaching in a school. Whatsoever you are doing, do it totally, and when the evening comes and the sun sets you will have a passivity descending upon you. That passivity is beautiful, it is as beautiful as activity. Nothing to choose! Both are beautiful and both are needed.
