This meditation comes from Buddhism, a very famous mystic called Athisa. In Buddhism they call it love & kindness meditation. Osho has redesigned it according to his insight. It is a beautiful meditation for people who want to experience the emptiness of the heart, to feel joy, bliss & unconditional love of the heart. Osho says that heart has great transformational power, it can change any misery, pain, suffering into love & heal.What is a Heart Chakra Meditation.
THE HEART CHAKRA meditation is a proven exercise based on the Sufi tradition that dates back hundreds of years ago. It is an especially simple breath and movement exercise, which can help relieve inner tension, allowing the energy of the heart to flow freely again. The heart chakra is the medium to all other chakras.
When the heart chakra is open, all energies can flow freely. There are no inner blockades and man feels deeply united with himself and all other creations. Man feels sheltered and radiates warmth, satisfaction and heartiness. Man loves for the sake of love.
But if you think you have inner blockades, you will tend to feel rather weak even easily hurt, and you are apt to close up because of your fear of being rejected. In this state you cannot or will not want to participate in the flow of natural life.
Connected to the heart chakra are all varieties of green, similar to what nature offers, as vell as a very tender pink. Corresponding with these colours, all green and pink precious stones are valued for their harmonising effect like emerald, jade and rose quartz.
Chakras are actual energy centers of the body as perceived by the Indians and many other cultures. Their vibrations influence all levels of being like the body, the spirit, the soul andeven very sensitive physical areas.
It is said that there are seven chakras, which are located along the spine of the human body. They are the passages through which all cosmic energy flows and their dynamics influence all our activities.
Why Chakra Meditation?
There are many reasons why the functions of one or more chakras can be disarranged. Overwork, stress, emotional pressurea and all kind of psychological hurts are some of the probable causes.
Of course, there are many healing methods to act upon the energy centers, but the connection of breath and movement exercises, like for example with the HEART CHAKRA meditation are among the most sucessful methods.
In preparation it will be helpful, if you first read the instructions a few times before you start and also practice the movements without the accompaniment of the music.
Instructions for the
HEART CHAKRA MEDITATION
Introduction
Stimulated by the rhythm of sensitive music, the body can easily execute a breath exercise of three stages of seven minutes each. The movements go in all four directions of north, south, east, west, smoothly reconnecting the individual´s energy into a closed circle. It is the unification of the four elements of EARTH, WATER, FIRE and AIR which create a harmonious ´belonging together´ feeling for body and soul.
Before commencing the meditation we must first quietly prepare ourselves and our environment. We also have to make sure that all technical necessities for listening to the music are in functioning order so that our rhythm will not be interrupted later.
Instructions:
OSHO Heart Meditation has 4 stages & last 50 minutes.
First Stage: 5 Minutes – Eyes Closed
Sitting or Standing: In this stage listen to the music & connect yourself with your body. Once you feel connected with your body, bring your awareness to your heart center, your heart chakra. Feel it & connect with it. If you would like to keep both or one hand on it, feel free to do it. Carry on breathing through your heart chakra.
Second Stage: 15 Minutes – Eyes Closed
Sitting or Standing: In this stage breathe in/inhale all your misery, hurts, wounds & suffering in your entire life. Accept it in its totality, do not neglect it. Keep it there in your heart & let it get transformed into, joy, bliss, love & happiness, once it is transformed breathe out/exhale this love joy, bliss, love & happiness into the existence.
This expression can be done in words, sounds, gestures & body movements of whatever is happening inside your body mind. You can also let this expression happen silently.
Third Stage: 15 Minutes – Eyes Closed
Sitting or Standing: In this stage forget your misery & include everyone else’s misery, pain, sufferings. Let it be friends, family, relatives, enemies, strangers & the whole world without any condition just include. Do this while breathing in/inhaling. Let this misery & pain get transformed into joy, bliss & happiness from your heart & exhale into the existence. Pour all this love, joy & bliss into the existence unconditionally.
This expression can be done in words, sounds, gestures & body movements of whatever is happening inside your body mind. You can also let this expression happen silently.
Fourth Stage: 15 Minutes – Eyes Closed
Lying Down: The music will stop & you need to forget about everything, withdraw your attention from everything, even from yourself. Just lie down & keep your body still.
When you have mastered the conditions necessary to be in the state of meditation, you reach more expansive levels of meditation and gain the ability to integrate that experience into your daily activities.
Introduces us to the most fundamental steps of meditating. He begins with guidance related to diet, exercise and sleep and then helps us understand how the body, thoughts and emotions can be purified to help us move into meditation.

Ordinarily you are violent towards others but the mind is very cunning – it can learn non-violence, it can preach non violence, then it becomes violent towards itself. And the violence that you do on your own self is respected by people because they have an idea that to be an ascetic is to be religious. That is sheer nonsense. God is not an ascetic, otherwise there would be no flowers, there would be no green trees, only desserts. God is not an ascetic, otherwise there would be no song in life, no dance in life – only cemeteries and cemeteries. God is not an ascetic: God enjoys life. God is more Epicurean than you can imagine. If you think about God, think in terms of Epicurus. God is a constant search for more and more happiness, joy, ecstasy. Remember that.
Always remember that if you are moving in the right direction, you will go on flowering
